Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 with AMD Long battery life and robust performance

In the blink of an eye in 2020, there is more than a month left. Looking at this year’s 3C technology industry, although it is more or less affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, it is quite hot compared to many directly impacted industries.

This year’s Intel and AMD’s processor and graphics card wars have attracted the attention of many consumers and have gradually brought to the fore AMD, which has always been relatively low-key in Taiwan. Lenovo also recently launched a pen motor model equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 4000 series processors and AMD Radeon Graphics display chip specifications.

This IdeaPad Slim 7 has a 14-inch display screen. The body weight is only 1.4Kg and the thickness is only 1.49cm, equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR4X memory and 512GB PCIe SSD solid-state drive and other hardware configurations, it is a highly mobile business and entertainment notebook.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 uses metal material to build the pen motor body. The metallic silver color matching and matte surface treatment make it less likely for users to leave fingerprints and oil stains. The newly revised Lenovo and YOGA Logos are designed with a mirror surface and are designed with a simple style texture. It will be more eye-catching.

The YOGA 7 Series laptop model is printed on the groove on the front of the laptop. This laptop can also be opened with a single finger to open the top cover of the screen, so there will be no tipping.

The left and right sides of the laptop are equipped with 2 sets of USB-A 3.1 Gen2, a set of USB-C 3.2 (DisplayPort 1.4b+PD), a set of USB-C (PD), MicroSD memory card slot, HDMI, and 3.5mm composite audio source I/O configuration such as jacks, and this IdeaPad Slim 7 integrates the fingerprint reader into the side power button, which is more convenient to use.

Although it is a member of the YOGA series of laptops, this Slim 7 does not allow the screen to be flipped 360 degrees like the previous YOGA laptops, and can only perform a screen opening and closing angle of about 175 degrees.

Screen resolution

IdeaPad Slim 7 has a 14-inch IPS display screen. The test model I got this time is an optional mirror glass style. If you feel that the reflection problem is more troublesome, you don’t need to buy this item. The display screen is Full HD resolution and has 300nits. Brightness and 100% sRGB color gamut. The display screen with a narrow frame design is also equipped with an HD video lens and an IR infrared camera lens on the top, allowing users to log in with bio-safety facial recognition.

C piece configuration
Keyboard backlight
Touchpad configuration

The laptop uses a standard full-size keyboard configuration and is equipped with a three-stage brightness adjustment keyboard backlight. A slightly larger touchpad supports gesture operation and multi-touch functions. The island-style keyboard configuration provides a good touch feel With feedback, it is quite suitable for long-term input and other tasks. Unfortunately, apart from ASUS, no other notebook brand has found a way to add independent digital buttons.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 contains a built-in 4Cell rechargeable lithium battery, and its total body weight is 1.415Kg, which is not significantly different from the official data.
